How Do You Delete The Suggestions Google Has In The Search Box?

June 02, 2009 | admin | Comments 0

If you go to Google, and start typing something in, it’s going to start making suggestions as you type based on previous search terms. It’s really annoying, so I was hoping someone could tell me how to delete those. Thanks for the help.

Under the options ( It looks like a gray circle) which is located at the top right hand corner, there will be settings you need to edit. One of them is Google Search Box Settings. Click on that box and another box will pop up with more settings. Uncheck “suggest popluar searches” and “suggest seaches from my search history” .
Look at this screen shots I made for you so you can see what I am talking abouthttp://www.addmypics.com/show.php?img=59…http://www.addmypics.com/show.php?img=60…

if you want to delete all entries than just click on google search bar drop down arrow and find last link named clear search history. and if you want to delete single one than just put cursor on that entry without clicking and press delete key.
    You will get done.

In firefox.. you can turn off suggestions… right click on the search box and click “show suggestions” you can also delete the history..

Also, if you want to delete a single entry, highlight over the suggestion in the search box and hit the delete key.
