How Worried Should I Be About Long Term Health Problems From Toxic Mold?

May 21, 2009 | admin | Comments 2

We recently found mold in our newly purchased house. The legal aspects have been taken care of. What I’m worried about is what the chances are of my family and I having lingering health problems. The mold count outside the house was 2,000 while inside was 3,000,000. That’s not a typo. And the mold with the highest count was Penicillium. Any advice/comments would be appreciated.

My husband and I rented a house about a year ago. It has mold in the aircon unit. I have been sick since. God bless you and your family

Same here -landlord refused to fix our ac for 3 months, then replaced only the outside unit, which was too small for the square footage and caused the handler to retain moisture. We had cladosporium growing in the handler and I had my 10 month old in the hospital with 105 fever and we both have chronic respiratory problems 4 years later.
